A first class, well funded stem cell research organization has a unique opportunity to shape the future and image of stem cell research in the US. We are helping to find a VP of R&D to provide direction and leadership to internal scientific projects while working closely with the CEO to develop and implement the strategic vision. This is a role that is heavily science oriented but also will be high profile and high visibility in terms of advancing the organization’s aims and reputation.
The successful candidate will be an established and recognized scientific leader in drug discovery and development with interest and experience in regenerative medicine. Excellent communication skills are required as this role entails guiding and mentoring researchers and developing strong relationships with the broader scientific and medical community. | DIRECTOR - TARGET DISCOVERY

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a PhD in cell biology or a related biology discipline, plus at least 7 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong publication record in at least one of the following therapeutic areas: oncology, metabolic, or inflammatory disease. Patent filings which demonstrate innovative uses of emerging technologies are a plus.

PROTEIN BIOANALYTICAL SCIENTIST

This new leadership opportunity focuses on the development and implementation of bioanalytical (PK, PD, ADA, Nab) assays to support both preclinical and clinical studies. PATENT ATTORNEY (OR AGENT)
Want a promising future with a chance to build multiple aspects of your career? This west coast small molecule therapeutic company has an opportunity for a midlevel in-house, legal counsel. This position involves the drafting and prosecution of pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications (U.S. and international) and counseling on a variety of intellectual property issues. In addition, the position involves performing and overseeing a range of the other legal matters pertaining to the organization, including legal policies, agreements, intellectual property matters (patents, trademarks and copyrights) and coordinating all legal matters handled by outside counsel.
The primary duties include:
- Writing, filing, and prosecuting patents.
- Working with Research and Development personnel, particularly the chemistry teams, to develop and protect Company inventions.
- Interact with other parties (Corporations, Academia, Research Institutes, etc.) to secure licenses to novel IP needed by Company to extend its patent portfolio and facilitate its business plans.
- Managing agreement and IP issues for company partnered programs.
Qualifications At least two to five years experience in intellectual property/legal in the pharmaceutical industry. Requires registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. A background in organic chemistry is required (advanced degree preferred) as well as experience drafting and prosecuting small molecule inhibitor patent applications. You will need to be a strategic/analytical thinker who can plan, direct and build for the future. An energetic self-starter who can manage their time, communicate well, and work successfully with varied audiences would thrive in this environment.
